Comments to HW 4 ================ 1424: Grade: 10 Perfect. The only thing missing: a comment about the result "60 teeth on gear one". The result is too high, which is due to the noise in the lower left part of the gear. The simple routine only works for reasonably noisefree data, like the smaller gear. Nice documentation! 4286: Grade 10 Perfect result (33/24). The comment on the 1-frequency is incorrect: the 1 frequency shows that the object is slightly elipsoid, not perfectly round. the noise, introduced by the error in the bottom left teeth, shows as multiple high frequencies, and a not so dominant peak on 33. 1683: Grade 8 Perfect result, but no comments/ documentation. There should be a comment to the peak detection technique (line 28 of your code). 1674: Grade: 10 Perfect, very good comments. 3286: Grade 9 Good program. The documentation should mention the problems with gear 1. 0960: Grade 10 Good program and documentation. It should however be mentioned, that the number of teeth of the second gear is hard to determine: the number 24 is relatively low. This is due to the noise in the bottom part. 5871: Grade 8 Perfect result, but no comments/ documentation.Just a little remark (which is valid for most of the assignments is saw, not only yours): showing the F-spectrum, it's more useful just to show the frequencies 0-about 50, not up to 200+. It's just easier to read. 2013: Grade 9 Program ok, but documentation too short.
